2011 Consignment Guidelines
***NOTE: AS OF OCT. 2011, we are not accepting NEW Consignors until 2012! The following information is presented for consignors who already have an account!
Consignment is a GREAT way to recycle your better belongings, without the time and hassle of a garage sale or online selling! No appointment necessary; consignment days & times:

Seasonal Calendar for 2011
  • Spring/Summer Clothing:

  • Feb. 15 thru June 14 No shorts/tanks until mid-March, no longsleeves after April
  • Aug 16 thru Dec 15 No winter coats, wool or Holiday until mid-September
 
No Consignments other than dates/times above without special appointment
No Consignments Wednesday before/ Monday after Thanksgiving. Also Good Friday/Easter Monday Items brought early in season have a better chance of selling!
Better Label and Designer Clothing
  • No more than 2 years old & in excellent condition.
  • On hangers and wrinkle free – a steaming fee may be assessed if wrinkled.
Womens sizes 0-3X. Mall brands or better. Best sellers: Ann Taylor, J.Crew, Loft, BCBG, White House Black Market, Lane Bryant, Chicos, Banana Republic, Gap, Limited, Express, Coldwater Creek, Talbots and most Designer labels.
Juniors sizes 0-15. Better mall brands: AE, Hollister, A&F, Buckle, etc.
Young Mens & Mens sizes XS-XL. Better mall brands. Shirts, tees, jeans & Basic blazers.
Shoes & Handbags
  • New or very gently used.
  • Place in a box or bag, labeled with your name. No individual shoe boxes.
  • If designer, authentic only. Replicas are illegal & not accepted.
  • High Demand for: Kate Spade, Dooney & Bourke, Coach, Gucci, LV, etc.
Unique or Better Costume Jewelry
Brighton, Loft, Talbots, Chicos, Cookie Lee, Premier Designs, etc
Stylish, Contemporary Home Accents & Household Item
(Must be EXCELLENT CONDITION with orig. value of $20 or more)
Unique bowls, baskets, candleholders, wall décor, vases, lamps, accent tables, bookcases, etc. Appliances (2yrs or newer) in working condition. Books/DVD’s with copyright of 2006 or newer. Tablecloths, shower curtains, sheets & bedding if NEW in original packaging. No curtains, drapes, pillows. We do take garden accents & planters (Apr-June) and Seasonal Décor: Fall & Halloween (Sept 1- Oct 25) Thanksgiving (Oct 15-Nov 17) and Christmas (Nov 17-Dec 15)
Consignment Fee: A one-time $10.00 cash fee due upon signing contract.

Consignment Period: 90 days. Prices are reduced periodically to encourage sales. You receive: 40% of selling price once sold. (50% on items priced over $100; 60% on items over $500) Payment: By Check. Responsibility for checking on account and requesting payment belong to you. After 90 days, unsold items may be donated or sold for charity. We do not pull your unsold items off the floor. Our time is better utilized helping customers buy your items. If there is an item that you would rather reclaim, please call us before 90 days. We support various charities, and can give you a tax receipt.
If we are unable to consign your items, we will try to help you find an alternate venue. We base our selections on style, condition, current stock, time of year and nearly 20yrs experience. (Surprisingly, even clothes new with tag are sometimes unsellable) Please understand that we must only select what our customers will buy!
