How to Consign
Consignment is EASY and a GREAT way to recycle your better belongings! Please read following guidelines for FASHIONS, FURNITURE & HOME DECOR!

Women’s FASHIONS (Sizes 0-1X) CUTE, CURRENT, CLEAN and EXCELLENT CONDITION!
APPOINTMENT OPTION: needed for New Consignors and Existing Consignors who want to take items back that we can’t consign. On the RARE times a trained staff member is not available during your appointment time, (remember we ARE a small business!), we will call you ASAP to pick up unaccepted items. Appointment times: Tues, Wed, Thurs 11-4. CALL 412-262-0833 to schedule.
DROP & RUN OPTION: Most of our consignors choose to DROP & RUN! You may bring up to 25 items without an appointment from 11-4 any day Except Saturday!
We will DONATE items deemed not acceptable for consignment. (see criteria above)
Seasonal Guidelines
FURNITURE:
Please email pictures/ measurements to moonconsignmentcottage@gmail.com We typically sell small pieces, ie items that 2 people can carry/ load into an SUV or van. We do not take headboards, china cabinets or “formal furniture”. Furniture should be in excellent condition & odor free. 50% commission on furniture
Home Goods with Original Value of $20 or more
Consignment Details: One-Time $10.00 (cash) fee to open account.
Consignment period: 90 days for clothing/apparel, After 90 days, clothing items become property of Consignment Cottage and may be sold or donated. Designer handbags, furniture and some décor may stay longer .
Commission: You receive 40% on most items. 50% on furniture & items priced over $100. 65% on designer bags over $500.
Consignors who choose to reclaim unsold clothing must give us 48 hours notice. Pulled clothing must be picked up within a week or pulled items will be donated. Some of the proceeds from sale items not reclaimed are used benefit local women’s shelters, various non-profits, school fundraisers, St. Vincent DePaul and others.
Consignment earnings can be used towards store purchases, or request a check at end of consignment period. Earnings do not expire. We are happy to share our love of consignment with you! - Up to 25 items per drop off or appointment. Follow seasonal calendar below.
- Clothing- Mall, Boutique, & Designer labels. Bring on hangers to avoid wrinkling. May fold sweaters and jeans and place in handled bag. We do accept some vintage clothing.
- Handbags- Better label bags. No Knock-offs. Clean well. Place in a handled bag.
- Footwear- Clean insides and bottom. Place in handled bag (no shoeboxes please)
- Jewelry- Unique, better quality costume & semi-precious jewelry

- Spring- February/ March: lightweight, crops, long and short sleeves
- Summer- March/ April/ May/ June: shorts, sundresses, sandals, tanks and short sleeves
- Fall- August/ September/ October: heavier fabrics, long sleeves, lightweight jackets
- Winter- October/ November/ December: wools, long sleeves, coats, holiday

- Books: Best-selling fiction within past 5 years. No CDs, DVDs.
- NEW (original bag & never used): tablecloths, sheets & bedding, decorative pillows.
- Seasonal: holiday décor, outdoor items, garden décor & planters.
- NO XL pictures/wall hangings, clear glass, china sets, crystal, kitchen gadgets, appliances, cookbooks, knick-knacks and items more suited to flea market
